How to Upload Your First Web Page

Create you home page, and name it index.htm or index.html.  If the file is not named index.htm or index.html, it will not show up in the browser when you go to your web site.  Start WS-FTP LE and connect to the SRCaccess.net server.  If you have not already created a profile for the SRCaccess connection, refer to the WS-FTP LE Configuration Instructions on the SRCaccess.net Support page.

Click OK to connect to the SRCaccess.net server.  You should then see this screen.

The file list on the left side represents the files on your computer.  The file list on the right side represents the files on the SRCaccess.net server.  You must place your index file in the public_html folder.  To enter the public_html folder, double click on its name.  Once you are in the public_html folder, your screen should look something like this:

Now you should browse to the location of your index file on the left side of the screen.  Select your index file by clicking on it, and then click the button circled in red below to transfer your index file to the SRCaccess.net server.

Once you have transferred your index file you screen should look something like this:

Now you can open your favorite browser and go to your web page by following the url http://www.srcaccess.net/~YourUserName,  where YourUserName should be replaced with your SRCaccess.net username.
