New button: Click this button to start a new web page.
You are given four main options:

Blank Page: Click this option if you are already
comfortable with writing and editing HTML code to start a page from
scratch. From Template: Click this option to create a
moderately advanced page using a series of Netscape templates. You
will follow through some Netscape pre-designed sites, inserting and
modifying to as you prefer. You get options for graphics, etc. with
this choice. From Page Wizard: Click this options to
create a pretty basic web page. You can enter some information,
choose some links, colors, and provide an e-mail link. This is the
simplest way to create a page and a good way to learn the basics of
page design. Open Local File: Click this option to open a
page already on your computer.
| Open button:
Click this button to open a web page file already stored on your
computer.
Save button: Click this button to save a file you have
been working on to your computer. Files should end in .htm or
.html to be valid webpages.
Publish button: This
button is used to move your site over to SRCaccess.net's servers.
However, due to the limitations of this button, we recommend that you
install and use WS_FTP from the CD.
Preview button: Click
this button to open a new Navigator window and see what your page will
look like from the Internet.
Cut button: Use this
button to cut out the selected portion of the page. You can use this to
move or remove sections of your page. Your computer will only store one
cut at a time. The next cut will take the place of the previous
one.
Copy button: Use this button to make a copy of the
selected portion of the page. You can then add the same information to
another page or position on the same page. Your computer will only store
one copy at a time. The next copy will take the place of the previous
one.
Paste button: Use this button to paste in the last
information that you cut or copied. You can paste as many times as you
want, but only the last information that you cut/copied.
Print
button: Use this button to print the page you are working on. Make
sure that your printer is ready to print.
Find button: Click this
button to find instances of a word or phrase in your page. If it is found,
you can click Find Next to see if it occurs again.
Link button:
Click this button to make a link to a file or other web page. You will
need to supply the name for the link and the location to link
to.
Target button: Click this button to insert a target into
your page. This is used if you want links to move from point to point
within the same page. You also need to make links to the
targets.
Image button: Click this button to insert a
picture.
H. Line button: Click this button to insert a horizontal
line across your page.
Table button: Click this
button to insert a table into your page.
Spelling button: Click
this button to run a spell check on your page.
Normal menu:
Use this menu to determine how your text will show up. Heading 1 is very
large, Heading 6 is very small.
Font menu: Use this menu
to select which font you want your text to be. In order for someone to
view your page like you designed it, they must have the same font that you
used, so it is best to only use commmon fonts.
Point size
menu: Use this menu to select the size of your text. 12 is most
common, but you can increase it if you want the text to be more readily
visible.
Color menu: Use this menu to select the color for your
text.
Alpha buttons: Use these buttons to bold, italicize,
underline your text. The first three can be used in conjunction with each
other as you choose. The last button returns your text to
normal.
List buttons: Use these buttons to make your text a
buttoned (unordered) list, or a numbered (ordered) list. You can only use
one at a time.
Text Inset buttons: Use
these buttons to move your text to either the left or right 5
spaces.
Text Justified button: Use this button to justify your
text. It can be left, right, or centered.
Design window: This is
where the contents of your page are shown while you are building
it.
